Adopted by the Constitutional Convention February 5, 1956. Ratified by the People of Alaska April 24, 1956. Became Operative with the Formal Proclamation of Statehood January 3, 1959.
I’ll make it to Alaska in year two or three on my journey. I will have my passport at the ready since I’ll have to drive through Canada on the way.
What to do there? I’ll have to check out Alaska's chapter of BOW, Becoming an Outdoors Woman, and catch a salmon of my own! http://www.uwsp.edu/cnr/bow/
The Alaska Department of Fish and Game can show me what a real Salmon looks like.
