During the holiday season Lifetime, Hallmark and other channels of their ilk, show a plethora of cloying Christmas movies. Usually about sagging christmas sprit and ending in a wedding! Naturally the locations are towns with Christmas-ie names. So, I've made a list and checked it twice of some places to explore.

Holly, Colorado is the home of the historic Holly Santa Fe Depot. They also have the annual Holly Bluegrass Festival and a public pool.

Snowflake, Arizona has its Annual Pioneer Days. The Snowflake Heritage Foundation has a walking tour of several houses that have demonstrations including weaving and blacksmithing. Snowflake also has a swimming pool!

Welcome to Rudolph, Wisconsin. I’ll have to go to the Rudolph Country Christmas, celebrating Rudolf the Red-Nose Reindeer. It is jam packed of several days of events. Not only about Christmas, this town has the Rudolph Tractor Show once a year. Tractors food and raffles, I’m in!
On May 24 1999, I joined SETI’s search for ET. They borrow my computing power by sending me bits of radio signals to analyze for signs of civilizations on distant planets. Of course I don't do it alone, SETI @ home has lots of help. So far I have completed 27,746 credits of data! You can do this too! It works in the background, you won't even know it's running.
I wonder if this book is for complete idiots or is the guide complete? Maybe that’s why this book is written with a little humor, and it is pretty complete. In the back there is a section a called Where To?. A nice glance of interesting tidbits about each state. Included is a resource section with lots of web sites. Not many pictures though, and I do like pictures.
